The Yemeni army’s defenses downed a drone in the Al-Baqa’ desert in Saada

Yesterday, the air defenses of the Yemeni army shot down a drone in the desert of Al-Baqa'a in Saada Governorate, northern Yemen, launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia.

The commander of the Fourth Sector, Major Azzam Abbad, said in a statement to the official Yemeni news agency (Saba) that the defenses of the Yemeni National Army (land-to-air) managed to shoot down a drone near the "Souk al-Baq'a" that was loaded with explosive devices, stressing that the army's strikes were accurate and quick towards the plane. It is noteworthy that the Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, condemned the Houthi group's continued obstruction of the implementation of the Sweden agreement on the exchange of prisoners and abductees, despite the passage of three years of the agreement.

Al-Eryani explained - in a statement reported by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the Houthi group continues to obstruct the implementation of the agreement without any regard for humanitarian considerations and the deterioration of the health of hundreds of abductees due to the conditions of their detention in its illegal detention centers, and the suffering of their families and families.

He called on the international community and the United Nations to carry out their legal, humanitarian and moral responsibilities and to put real pressure on the Houthi group to implement immediately and unconditionally the Sweden agreement regarding the exchange of all prisoners and abductees on the basis of "all for all" and to put an end to their tragedy, and to reunite them with their families.
