Building Materials Chamber: Interest in establishing new industrial cities contributes to increasing exports

Dr. Kamal El-Desouky, Vice President of the Building Materials Chamber in the Federation of Industries, confirmed that the state's goals to achieve $100 billion for the export sector can be achieved in light of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's great support for the national industry, and the interest in establishing new industrial cities contributes to achieving export targets.

He added that the industrial sector has witnessed major booms in the past seven years, in light of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's interest in developing the sector and solving all the problems we were suffering from as manufacturers, starting from the electricity and energy shortage crisis before 2014 to the financing initiatives to save the sector during a crisis. He pointed out, in statements to "The Seventh Day", that the developments in the national industry confirm the growing interest of the state in industry, because of its pivotal role in upgrading the export system, controlling the trade balance as a result of the increase in exports, reducing pressure on foreign currencies, and providing local and national production that suffices the needs of Internal markets, and all of this explains the Egyptian state's tendency to pay attention to the industry.

He explained that the industrial growth in the country is reflected in the provision of new jobs, which reduces unemployment, and during the years 2015 until now we are witnessing developments in industrial investments, as well as land offerings for investors, which crossed the 50 million square meter barrier of land for investors.
