Widow of assassinated Haitian president returns home to his funeral

Martine Moyes, widow of assassinated Haitian President Jovenel Moise, returned to the country to attend his funeral after receiving treatment in a Miami hospital in the United States of America.

According to Russia Today, Haitian Communication Minister Franz Xanthos said in a tweet via Twitter, "First Lady Martin Moyes has just arrived in Haiti, to participate in the funeral of President Jovenel Moise."

Martine was injured during an armed attack on her home on July 7, during which her husband, the Haitian president, was assassinated, with 12 bullets fired into his body, but his guards were not hurt.

The Haitian authorities announced that they had identified 28 people suspected of carrying out the attack, including 26 Colombian mercenaries, and two American citizens.
