Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques: More than 35 million beneficiaries of the translation of the sermon of Arafa in previous years

Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamidi, Under-Secretary General for Translation and Technical Affairs at the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, confirmed that since the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed the translation of the Sermon of Arafa in 1439 to 1441, the number of beneficiaries has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries around the world from the works of the "Project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Interpretation of the Sermon of Arafa". Al-Humaidi added, in statements transmitted by the official website of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, that they are paying attention to translating the sermon on the Day of Arafa during the Hajj of this year 1442 AH, by supporting electronic applications and the Manarat Al-Haramain platform, as well as the role provided by modern technical means in transmitting and translating the sermon on the Day of Arafa to all Muslims around the world. He continued, "The project receives direct follow-up and attention from the General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, in order to overcome all difficulties and obstacles, if any, for the pilgrims of the current Hajj season."

As part of the preparations for the Hajj season, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque stressed the need for all front-line employees participating in the work of this year’s Hajj season to receive a vaccine for the Corona virus, according to “Okaz”.

The precautionary measures set by the presidency included distributing thermal cameras at the entrances designated for pilgrims, preparing health centers inside the Grand Mosque in coordination with the Ministry of Health, sterilizing vehicles on an ongoing basis, ensuring that all health precautions are applied, providing thermal detectors at the entrances, and sterilizing funeral and escort vehicles before and after each Prayer and provision of sterilizers and masks.

On the other hand, the operational plan prepared by the Presidency included distributing 200,000 packages of Zamzam water daily to pilgrims, and providing 10 water trucks to distribute water at the Mataf.
