The US envoy to Libya: We will continue to support the elections and the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign fighters

The US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said, "The international community showed in Berlin its broad support for the December 24 elections, and for the full implementation of the October 2020 ceasefire agreement."

Norland explained, through the account of the US Embassy in Libya on the social networking site “Twitter”, as reported by (Libya Al-Hadath) channel, that the United States will continue to follow up on its commitment to the sovereignty and independence of Libya, adding that his country will continue to work with partners and through the United Nations, to support Preparations for elections and the withdrawal of foreign mercenary forces, beginning with a sequential, balanced and verifiable withdrawal of elements on both sides in ways that do not undermine the ceasefire.
