The President of the Libyan Presidential Council discusses with a British delegation the unification of institutions and holding the elections


Today, Thursday, the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Dr. Muhammad Al-Manfiya, met with the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Office, James Claverley, and the British Minister of Defense, Ben Wallace, accompanied by a high-level delegation.


For its part, the British delegation valued the role of the President of the Libyan Presidential Council in unifying the country, through his keenness to unify institutions, stressing the need to hold elections on time and accept their results.



The British delegation also stressed the need to remove mercenaries and foreign fighters from all Libyan soil, stressing their full support for the rehabilitation of the military institution.



The President of the Libyan Presidential Council praised Britain's great role in pushing the political process, stressing the need for Britain and the international community to cooperate in supporting the new executive authority and the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee, opening the coastal road, removing mercenaries and foreign fighters, unifying institutions and achieving national reconciliation.
