The Lebanese Presidency denies Aoun's prior knowledge of money smuggling from Rafik Hariri airport

Today, Tuesday, the Lebanese Presidency's Information Office denied that President Michel Aoun had known in advance of money smuggling operations from Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport.

In a press release today, the office said, "There is absolutely no truth to what was reported by one of the programs that the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, had prior knowledge of the money smuggling operations and their numbers from Rafic Hariri International Airport, and other invented news that were mentioned in the interview."

According to the Emirates Vision website, the office announced that such baseless allegations fall within the framework of the programmed campaigns targeting the Presidency of the Republic for reasons that are no longer hidden to anyone and which are useless.
