Sudan seeks to provide support to increase oil production in South Sudan


The Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil, Engineer Jaden Ali Obaid, affirmed his country's readiness to cooperate with the State of South Sudan, and to provide logistical support to increase oil production in the State of South Sudan, and to facilitate the movement of oil equipment, machinery and services related to the fields of South Sudan.


The Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil discussed, with Eng. Bor Ring, Executive Director of "Nile Pet" Company (the main operator of oil fields in South Sudan), prospects for developing technical cooperation in the oil field.


The meeting touched on issues related to operating the fields of South Sudan, increasing oil production, benefiting from Sudanese oil facilities, exchanging experiences and joint training and qualification programs between the two countries.


"Port Ring" dealt with joint work in the proposed areas in the oil industry, which include processing geophysical information, technical studies and developmental explorations related to oil production.
