Republican calls for the dismissal of the director of the American Institute of Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci

Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Republican US Congressman Marjorie Taylor Green called for the dismissal of the director of the American Institute of Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, from his post, and Green led, in a press conference with a number of Republican members of the House, in which she called for Fauci to be removed from his post, according to " Russia Today".

"People who were not elected by the American people should never rule our country, and they should never control our lives," she said, adding: "We must hold him accountable, we must hold China accountable, and they must pay compensation."

She called for Fauci's emails to be disclosed and to "spread the truth" and "not discriminate between people politically because of a virus."

In turn, Cruz considered that Fauci "acted more as a politician than a scientist during the Corona virus pandemic," and said that "this is someone who had a position of enormous responsibility in government during a dangerous period, at a time when the epidemic spread around the world."

"He was saying whatever was politically appropriate," he said. "He was saying what the Democrats wanted at the time, and the science was an afterthought."

Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw also published a tweet via "Twitter", in which he said that he lost his confidence in Fauci "a long time ago", considering that "Fauci has always treated us as if we were very stupid and we could do nothing but impose a general closure and wear a muzzle forever .. his messages. The e-mail shows that the situation was worse than we thought."
