Euro 2020: Puskas Arena awaits Portugal and Hungary




The Puskas Arena is ready to receive the national teams of Portugal and Hungary, in the match scheduled for 6 pm today, Tuesday, in the first round of Group F "Iron", in the European Nations Cup "Euro 2020".



The Puskas Arena, which has a capacity of 67,000, is waiting for Portugal and Hungary to open the Euro 2020 Group F competition.


The Portuguese national team, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, begins the journey of defending the title when it meets its counterpart Hungary in the match that will be held at 6 pm today, Tuesday, at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital Budapest in the first round of Group F, "Group of Death" in the European Nations Cup "Euro 2020" competitions. It is currently held and will continue until the eleventh of next July, with the participation of 24 teams in 11 different cities.


Puskas Arena is the only stadium in the tournament that will witness a crowd attendance at its full capacity, after local authorities agreed to replace social distances with a strict entry policy, which requires fans to submit a negative test result for the Corona virus, before being allowed to enter.



And the Portuguese national team, the legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the Italian star of Juventus, leads his country’s ambitions, as he is the first star that the fans hope for preserving the continental title in the Euro 2020 edition.

Despite reaching the age of 36, Ronaldo is able to turn the scales and make the difference in favor of his country, at any time, especially in light of his outstanding scoring capabilities, as he was crowned the Italian league's top scorer in the season that ended with 29 goals.

Portugal has behind Ronaldo, a constellation of stars and prominent players, led by Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Liverpool striker Jota, and Atletico Madrid player Joao Felix.

Portugal faced a difficult time against Hungary in the 2016 championship, when it was late 3 times before equalizing 3-3 to qualify for the playoffs.
