Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives praises Egypt's stance in support of the Palestinian people


Today, Sunday, the first deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi praised Egypt's stance in support of the Palestinian people, stressing the need to unify effective positions at the governmental and parliamentary levels regarding the crucial issues facing the region, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.


Al-Kaabi called - during his meeting today with the Egyptian Ambassador Walid Ismail, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - for the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the economic, investment and cultural fields, building cities, the housing sector and refineries in addition to confronting terrorism, and benefiting from the Egyptian experience in the development sector. Being a pioneer at the level of the Arab and regional surroundings.


In turn, Ambassador Walid expressed Egypt's full support for the security, stability and well-being of Iraq and the consolidation of comprehensive cooperation between the two brotherly countries, stressing that this is "a top priority for the government and people of Egypt."


During the meeting, the latest developments in Arab and international affairs were discussed, and many files of mutual interest were discussed between the two countries.
