Al-Ahly players flock to Cairo airport to start the South African trip



Players of the first football team of Al-Ahly club flocked to Cairo Airport, preparing to travel to South Africa to face the Sun Downs team on May 22nd in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.

Al-Ahly players, the technical staff and all members of the mission began arriving at the airport before leaving Cairo at nine in the evening on a private plane, heading to Johannesburg airport and then moving to Pretoria, which hosts the Al-Ahly and Sun Downs confrontation.
 
Al-Ahly beat Sun Downs with two unanswered goals, in the first-leg match that was held at the "Al-Ahly and Al-Salam" stadium last Saturday night.
 
The coaching staff was keen to give the players a rest after the first-leg match, due to the pressure of the matches in the recent period, and the readiness to travel to South Africa.
