50 Taliban militants were killed during military operations in Afghanistan

Afghan military officials said today, Wednesday, that Afghan forces launched attacks on Taliban strongholds and convoys in Laghman province.

The officials said that at least 50 Taliban militants, including a number of Pakistani fighters, were killed and several others wounded during the military operations, according to the Afghan News Agency.

A senior official in the Afghan army’s Sailab Corps said that 50 Taliban fighters were killed and several others wounded in the attacks carried out by the air and ground forces since the beginning of last night.

He emphasized that among the dead and wounded were a number of local leaders and Pakistani Taliban fighters.
