Pharmacies Division: Providing treatment protocol for Coronavirus in all regions

Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the General Division for Pharmacies Owners at the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that all medicines included in the treatment protocol announced by the Ministry of Health for Coronavirus are available in all pharmacies and there is no region suffering from a shortage of therapeutic protocol drugs, praising the efforts made by the state To provide these medicines in all pharmacies nationwide.


Abdel-Maqsoud indicated, in exclusive statements to Al-Youm Al-Sabea, that the General Division coordinates periodically with the Division’s employees all over the Republic to find out the needs of any medicine that is in short supply, in order to provide it directly until the end of the crisis.


The head of the pharmacy owners division explained that with regard to prevention products and tools, which include alcohol and masks, they are still widely available in pharmacies across the country at very reasonable prices, indicating that masks in pharmacies start from 2 pounds, and a bottle of alcohol starts from 10 pounds.


On the other hand, Abdel-Maqsoud pointed out that the Division called on the Ministry of Finance to find a way to collect the value-added tax, and that it should not be through pharmacies, as a large percentage in pharmacies, especially in remote areas, are not able to do these accounts properly, suggesting that it be done Collecting VAT from the source, not through pharmacies.
