Mufti of Kazakhstan: Our country is keen to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in all fields



The Grand Mufti and Head of the Religious Administration for the Muslims of Kazakhstan, Sheikh Nawarezbai Haj Tajunuli, affirmed that his country is keen to strengthen and enhance cooperation with Egypt; Based on the historical, cultural, religious and spiritual relations between the two brotherly countries that go back to ancient times.

This came in a speech delivered by Sheikh Tajunoli during the third session held on Saturday within the activities of the 31st International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo, under the title (Dialogue of Religions and Cultures) held over two days.

 

Tagunoli expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian government for the interest in the project of restoring the Al-Zahir Baybars Mosque in Cairo for the historical and religious value it represents for the two brotherly peoples, saying: The Sultan Al-Zahir Baybars Mosque is one of the most important archaeological landmarks of Egypt and one of the largest remaining mosques of the Mamluk era, as well as a symbol of those friendly relations Between the two brotherly countries.

 

He added that about 120 thousand Kazakhstani visitors visit Egypt and go to the Zahir Baybars Mosque upon their arrival, and the Zahir Baybars Mosque is considered their first destination for Egypt's archaeological and historical landmarks.

 

In his speech, Tajunoli explained that Islam affirmed the social justice that the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, laid the foundations for, peaceful coexistence and acceptance of others, adding that Islam affirms the freedom of individuals in life, religion and belief, and the most prominent evidence from the Holy Qur’an is "There is no compulsion in religion." And it also came in the Qur’an encouraging good coexistence and treatment with followers of other religions, citing the Medina document.

 

He added, "In addition to freedom of religion and belief, Islam provides for equality between nations and different nationalities, based on the provisions of Islamic law and the principles of moral values ​​and tolerance, stressing that Muslims can coexist peacefully with the rest of other religions and respect the privacy of different nationalities in a common society.
